A few weeks ago there was already, with the green idyll Rosendals Trädgård, the start in my Stockholm series. Today follows a collection of tips for the scene district of Stockholm: Södermalm. Here I was on the first day of my three-day trip. As luck would have it „make music STHLM“ was at this day – a street festival where music was played in front of cafés and on the street live from various bands. Yippie! But now to my tips:
Drop Coffee
Already after a visit at the café Stockholm Espresso Club in Hamburg, I had guessed that there should be really good coffee in Stockholm. During my trip to the Swedish capital, this assumption was confirmed directly at the Drop Coffee Roaster in the west of Södermalm. For me there was, beside a light roasted espresso (specialty coffee), a nice kind of chocolate ball – both delicious!

Hornstulls Marknad
You like vintage clothes and food trucks plus you are on a Sunday in Stockholm? Most shops here are closed on Sunday, but in the west of Södermalm you will find the lovely Hornstulls Marknad. A flea, design and food market, which takes place every Sunday from the beginning of May to the end of September and on which I discovered the sweet M creperie foodtruck.
The owners, a couple from Barcelona, handcrafted the small truck their self with great attention to detail. If you want to eat a delicious crêpe in front of the foodtruck in Stockholm, you should have a look at the M creperie side where you will find the next events.

The east part of Södermalm is called „SOFO“. Especially well I liked the road Södermannagatan and therefore the next four tips come from here:
Christoffers Blommor
The beginning is the beautiful flower shop Christoffers Blommor. Now you might think, why visit the author of this article a flow shop during a city trip? But at least if you walk by at one of the two beautiful shops in real (the second one you find in the Old Town „Gamla Stan“), you will understand why: so beautifully arranged flowers and this fragrance …

Grandpa
On the left side next to Christoffer Blommor is a shop located where you can buy a mixture of fashion, interior, books and vintage parts in a relaxed atmosphere. The hip store is called Grandpa and is represented with a second spot in Stockholm and with a third in Gothenburg. The shop in Södermalm was, however, the beginning of the great concept, which certainly not only makes fashion hearts beat faster.

Il Caffé Söder & Fabrique
A second time you can find good coffee on the other side beside Christoffers Blommor, at Il Caffé Söder. From here you can also look directly at the flowers, because the café, the flower shop and the bakery Fabrique are all connected. The bakery Fabrique also has several branches in Stockholm, where you can taste wonderful Kanelbullar (a kind of cinnamon bun) or Kardemummabullar (a bun with cardamom).

If you are staying in an apartment during your stay in Stockholm, I can recommend you as a little expensive but nice store the Urban Deli Nytorget with swedish food and delicacies. If you do not want to cook for yourself, you can also eat delicious in Deli, because it is also a restaurant.

Manos
Last but not least: (my) Designhighlight. Of course I was looking forward to the beautiful swedish design before my journey. Locally the design and craft shop „Manos“ was exactly what I had imagined to be the perfect little shop for my Stockholm trip. A little bit beside the Södermannagatan, I discovered it on the last day of my trip and I was delighted about the great selection of handmade dishes, fashion, interior, beautiful illustrations and pictures there.
