After an extensive breakfast, the strolling through the small shops near the Sarphatipark is a good idea. A shop I particularly liked was Cottoncake – a white-kept generous concept store in which there are fashion, books and a lot more. Many of the products have been discovered by the owner herself during her travels and placed with love in the small shop in De Pijp. In the above part of the shop, you can even drink coffee or tea and immerse yourself in a book surrounded by the exquisite sunlight that falls through the backyard. The Concept Store is also suitable for a small lunch break.

At the end of my one-week trip to Amsterdam, my travel companion asked me „And what was your favorite discovery in the last seven days?“. „Sir Humus“ was my answer, because as delicious and at the same time simple and natural as there, I have not eaten before! Especially for vegan and vegetarian I can highly recommend the deli with its very own charm. One thing is clearly in the focus here: the hummus. To this one you can order as besides pita bread and different extras like beetroot or onions to it and make yourself comfortable at one of the wooden tables.
