Since October last year a new beautiful café is located in the old town of Hamburg: the Nord Coast Coffee Roastery. Today I want to gibt this new place for good coffee and delicious delicacies in Hamburg finally it’s place here on the blog. The Deichstraße, the exactly street where you can finde the Nord Coast Coffee Roastery, has already a very special charm with its many old Hamburg citizen houses.

 

 

On the contrary café and roasting area itself are decorated in an industrial style and spread over two floors – but still comfortable. The reason for this is certainly the many loving details, such as the vintage books and beautiful prints on the walls or the small suitcase, which you can find in the picture above.

 

 

As you maybe already suspected, the two founders – the couple Jörn and Paula – roast specialty coffee in this cafe. In addition to this really good coffee they offer a lot of delicacies. On my last visit i had for example an avocado baby spinach panini with green pesto. Something for sweet tooth is as well on the menu: among others a wonderful cheesecake and different kinds of waffles.

 

 

Before I continue with my dreaming of the food here I want to finish this article with some recommendations for Nord Coast. If you visit this place, look for the window part of it. From there you have a beautiful view over the Nikolaifleet – a canal between Alster and Elbe. I think this also invites almost a little to a walk to the Speicherstadt district with it’s beautiful old warehouses and the new Elbphilharmonie… I always combine my time here with exploring this district. You can see my favorite spot in the surrounded Speicherstadt at the last photo – it’s the Wasserschloss (translated to englisch: water castle). Maybe a walk to this castle is also an inspiring idea for before or after your time at the Nord Coast Coffee Roastery.
