Oh Amsterdam, how much I fallen in love with you, is hard to comprehend in words. But with a lot of blogpost you have found your well deserved place on this blog. The last articles, that I summarize in this guide, are the result of my last journey to Amsterdam.
At first I introduced to you the district Amsterdam West (see here). Especially I was enthusiastic here about the wonderful urban jungle Wildernis, the café with the roasting area called Lot Sixty One and the cozy stopover Caffènation.
Next the center of Amsterdam followed here. In this part of the city it is much more touristy than in the other parts of Amsterdam, but the center also has its very special concept stores and cafés. Particularly in the Reestraat with the Ree7 and the PLUK I felt very comfortable and can recommend a visit to these cafes.
Because of the amount of good spots in the trendy neighborhood De Pijp I have published two blogpost about this districts. You can find the first one about De Pijp Concepts stores and cafés here and the second one with my beloved hummus deli and favorite coffee place in De Pijp here. On the last evening of my Amsterdam trip the friend who hosted me during my journey asked me, which was my best discovery during the trip. This was definitely Sir Hummus at Van der Helstplein in De Pijp. I still dream of the delicious pita bread and the good hummus from this deli …
Lastly, I want to give you today some recommendations for the district Amsterdam Oost. By the way, in the end of the post you will find a map will all my tips for Amsterdam and you can easily see how far it is to your accommodation or the next recommendation. But first to Oost:
In the colorful café Rum Baba, it took me on my last day of travel in Amsterdam for breakfast. The cafe is particularly known for its wide selection of cakes, incredible coffee and tea. This makes it perfect to be able to ignore a rainy Amsterdam day. Just take a good book, the laptop or a friend and make yourself comfortable here …

The last tip I have for you today is Beter & Leuk. This café is located in a somewhat inconspicuous area, but if you are looking for a loving decor and living room atmosphere, this is the place to go. In addition there is a small shop area between the diced out furniture, where you can discover beautiful maps, books or other things from local labels. So the name (translated into English: better & beautiful), fits quite well. This café is also an excellent tip, for those looking for vegan or gluten-free alternatives on the menu.
